Well I promised to keep you guys informed of my progress and I meant it. Because of Labour Day this weekend and it being a long weekend, I actually had to weigh in two days early. Sooooooo.. today after much angst I now join the ranks of other Jenny winners.. 3.8 pounds that I will never see again came off.. How about that? I only started on Monday- today is Saturday AND it was an incredibly rough week.
I recognized the triggers and stopped the derailments BEFORE they happened. I continuously recited my Mantra.. I am Unstoppable. NOTHING will stop me.
I also did 30 min on my elipitical 3x this week.
If you are wanting to lose weight or make ANY changes to your life, call me if you want some help. here are some tips to help you be successful:
1.Keep your motivation high
2.Recognize your saboteurs and plan in advance how you will handle them
3. Stick to the plan. Don't deviate until you are on auto pilot
Stay tuned for next week.. let me know what you are up to as well.. Frankie The Unstoppable Coach

I am NOW ORDAINED
Yes you read correctly. I am an Ordained Clergy Person for the Cburch of Spiritual Humanism. This church has its roots and philosophy based in science and proposes that individuals have the right to believe what they want but it should be based on reason and fact, not the supernatural.
What really attracted me to this philosophy is that it is equal opportunity, it is based on love, self improvement,(Individual and world), it understands that we have a connection to our past as well as a need to create a new future so it doesn incorporate some of the older traditions, such as Summer Solstice and Winter Equinox. Not for their religious intentions but for the Earthly traditions that they denote. It connects us to the past and our ancestors who looked forward to these days and celebrated them as well.
June 21at, Summer Solstice, The longest day of the year, Fall Harvest, fertility, It is so awesome to see that there is a church and I use this term in the truest sense- A church is an association of people who share a particular belief system, that is so in alignment with what I have been preaching for so long.. a positive attitude, self growth and improvement, meditation.. Wow... a non christian,( or any other religeous based organization, that believes in spreading peace and love. I am all for that.. Remember.. What would love do now? Well now I can marry folks, officate at baby namings, funerals, hand fastings and YES, its legal.. smile.. So let me know if you want to get married.. I will have to check my book though to see if I am legal ( not legally blonde) in your state.. smile.

Kirsty, Valerie and ME!!!
Well If you know me, then you know that I have struggled with my weight and perception of my weight for quite awhile.
The struggle has become even more prevalent in the past few years as I battle the after effects of my motorcycle accident coupled with the onslaught of menopause. Although this has not been confirmed, I have convinced myself it is so.. smile.
I went from being on the National DragonBoat team, running daily and weightlifting and 5 days in the gym, to practically being unable to walk once around the grocery store. Oh I can do it now, but I pay dearly for it in pain later.
The best exercise I have found for me is the Elipitical Machine. I can spend 30 minutes on it and even though my hip hurts like a mother the next day, the psycological benefits, ( knowing that I am actually burning calories, the release of endorphins, and improving my lung capacity) makes this the winner for me. It doesn't hurt my knee the same way walking does as there is no resistance or shock to reverberate as there is when I walk on the ground.
Why am I telling you this? Well if you are like me, even though you know its good for you, and you feel good when you do it, you still don;t do it religeously.
I have found that when I exercise consistently for 12 weeks, then it becomes a habit that I cannot ignore. My body pushes me to do it and I feel awful until I do. Well, I haven't gotten to that point yet. In fact, I am going to say that I am back at week one, but that's OK>
I have Recommitted to myself to get back in shape and to lose the weight I find I have put on recently, not all due to inactivity but emotional eating as well.'
If you suffer from Emotional Eating or you want a partner to hold you accountable then feel free to contact me, join me or follow my progress.
I feel that by going public with this, I will be too embarrassed NOT to do it.
Today, I joined Kirsty Alley and Valerie Bertanelli and joined Jenny Craig. I figured if they could do it, I could do it, ( even though they aren't paying me the gazillion dollars those girls are getting( Plus the free food).
I will tell you.. I am a finicky picky eater ( for the most part) but today on day 1, the food was really quite good. I LOVED the muffin and my Thai noodle lunch. That was terrific. I am not a big meat eater so I did leave the chicken in both lunch and dinner. I know, I need the protein.. Its ok though, cause they give you a protein bar every day to eat.
Day 1 is over and I don't ever have to do this day again.
I figure that either tomorrow or the next day will be the toughest, but after that, it will just become a habit.
I am looking forward to this actually. I love a challenge and since I don[t have any other big ones going on in my life right now, this one fits the bill.
I am not telling anyone except you guys I am doing this OK..so it's our secret for now.
I commit to marking my progress weekly and keep you all informed as to how things are going.
An endorsement from Jenny Craig Corp. would be nice, but even nicer would be to have my old body back!!!!
You are all in my thoughts and I love you.. Coach Frankie
